My name is Nicola Thomas. I am an artist and an educator and currently teach on the BA Fine Art programme. One of the reasons why I originally did an MA in Fine Art was because I knew that it would help me gain access to teaching within Higher Education – and I was proved right. I was fortunate to land my first University teaching job just months after completing my MA, and have now been teaching – in various roles, with numerous responsibilities, and to differing audiences/publics for over a decade.

I am hoping that the PgCert will be helpful in developing, enhancing, and reassessing the methods that I use to teach – and importantly, that it will give me the opportunity to learn from, and pick up, additional best practices from my peers.
